Bornella Fabrics are thrilled to announce that we're sponsoring #SewFrugal25 for this year and there is a £25 store voucher up for grabs. This wonderful challenge is hosted by Sam @Frugalisama and Ruan @TheYorkshireSewGirl.

For those new to #SewFrugal25, this fantastic challenge makes the most of what we already have or can get hold of for free. The concept is simple: lots of pattern companies and sewing individuals have free patterns available, and in the month of March we are challenged to make a garment from a free pattern. 

The process is simple:

1) Choose a free garment pattern

2) Choose fabric from your stash

3) Make a garment in the month of March

4) Reveal your garment on Instagram on the 31st March with the hashtag #SewFrugal25 and tag @Frugalisama and @TheYorkshireSewGirl to be in with the chance to win a prize.

Be sure to follow the challenge hosts @frugalisama and @theyorkshiresewgirl on Instagram for the full schedule of events and a heap of resources throughout March. There are loads of sewing vloggers and bloggers who will be taking part and providing some brilliant content throughout the month too. For a little bit of inspiration, here is my entry from 2023 - I made the Peppermint Magazine Milton pinafore which was a free download. I LOVED making this and the pattern is superbly drafted and written by Just Patterns. Quite honestly I cannot believe it was free.
